Nothing’s Built Better than These Two Award-Winning Fords

Nothing’s more American than a Ford. So we’re waving the flag for the 2022 Ford Bronco and 2022 Ford Maverick – winners of the 2022 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year ™ and North American Truck of the Year™.

The Blue Oval took both coveted honors, which have been awarded annually since 1994. The judges were 50 American and Canadian automotive journalists who based decisions on segment leadership, innovation, design, safety, handling driver satisfaction, and value for the dollar.

“Instead of giving the public a lukewarm placeholder with a nostalgic logo, Ford has pulled out the stops to create a very credible competitor to that other four-letter off-road brand,” said Kelley Blue Book editor Jack Nerad about the 2022 Bronco.

The 2022 Ford Bronco’s design echoes its proud heritage. The 300-hp turbo 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine is standard. A 330-hp twin-turbo 2.7-liter V-6 is available. It can be configured with either two or four doors, soft or hard top and removable body panels. Ford’s Sync 4 software underpins the eight or 12-inch touchscreens. It’s Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible and options include navigation and an upgraded stereo system.

All seven models of the 2022 Ford Bronco are 4x4s. Serious off-roaders can move up to Black Diamond™, Badlands™, Wildtrak™ and the just-introduced Raptor™, with a 3.0-liter turbo engine producing more than 400 hp and 37-inch tires and a heavy-duty rear axle. The Base terrain management system has five driving modes. Going up the model ladder gains additional modes for off-roading. Optional packages add features, convenience and more fun!

Ford’s F-150 won North American Truck of the Year in 2021. The 2022 Maverick, a lower-priced, smaller pickup, is what today’s market has been missing. Juror Karl Brauer said “The Maverick’s efficient packaging delivers an urban-friendly, highly functional truck with an impressive list of standard equipment, even in base trim.”

And, it is a hybrid, appealing to Colorado’s eco-conscious drivers. EPA rated at 42 mpg city earned it Green Car Journal’s 2022 Green Truck of the Year award. The electric motor is paired with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 191 hp but a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine is available in either FWD or AWD.

The 2022 Ford Maverick comes in three trim levels with optional packages that bring more features, more safety and off-road capability.

Both the Ford Bronco – the North American Utility Vehicle of the Year – and the Ford Maverick – the North American Truck of the Year – promise ultimate value, ultimate performance, and ultimate fun. Come see them at Schomp Ford on Aurora’s Havana Motor Mile.
