Ford Wins Again in “2026 Best Adventure Vehicles” Awards

Ford is high-fiving all around this summer with the news that its stellar vehicles have won not one – or two – or three – or four – but FIVE U.S. News & World Report “Best Adventure Vehicle Awards.” We’re celebrating at Schomp Ford, especially since Colorado is Ground Zero for outdoor summer and winter adventuring! 

“Our goal in picking these winners is to give you recommendations for vehicles that will be up to the job and lots of fun, while also being good long-term choices,” the judges said. We’re not surprised at Ford’s super showing. Our awards include:

Ford’s Off-Roaders

The judges note that their rankings weren’t for vehicles whose owners have tricked them out. “They’re designed to give casual off-roaders and outdoor adventurers … a capable new vehicle the best combination of off-road capability and new-vehicle experience.”

The Ford Bronco Sport’s Sasquatch Package is available on Outer Banks and Badlands trim levels. Both have a Terrain Management System™ with five standard driving modes. Four-Wheel Drive is standard. The Sasquatch package includes bigger all-terrain tires, locking differential and steel underbody protection. 

The Ford Bronco was the original Ford All-Purpose Vehicle. It launched in 1966, well before today’s SUV craze. Today it has up to 418 horsepower, 7 max available driving modes and can tow up to 4,500 lbs. It can be equipped with the Sasquatch Package and in some of its seven trims you can get a manual transmission.

Ford’s Camper  

Camping doesn’t always have to include off-roading, but it’s great to have 4X4 standard  5 G.O.A.T. (Goes Over Any Terrain) driving modes and the choice of 12 available packages in the 2026 Bronco Sport. But including the Ford Connectivity Package, Co-Pilot360° Assist and the Ford Security Package just adds to the capability and fun. There’s a reason the Ford F-150 is Americas best-selling pickup – again, its versatility married to ruggedness, strength and comfort. It will haul the family camper or trailer with ease and offer enough features to keep the family happy enroute.
